Question
I have just recently, 2 months, gotten back into running.  I am 40 years old and used to run upwards of 20 miles a day when I was in the Marine Corps. Today I run between 30 and 35 miles a week.  I usually run three days and take a day off, and then three more days and so on.  My question is should I continue to eat normally or should I adjust my diet in any way?  I am a little overweight about 10 pounds.  I will be running a 25K in may, do you have any tips for helping me prepare for the race?  Thanks

Answer
dear greg
From one ex marine to another don't worry about changing your diet. The most important thing is getting a good balance carbs protein and good fats vitimins and minerals and plenty of water.Your ten pounds will come off as you increase your traing load.
The most important thing in traing for 25k is increasing your mileage from where you are.Double if possible.Anything
else i would have to sign you for my program...Hope this helps you greg.
The very best to you
