Head pressure

Hi, I am 43 years old and in very good shape.  I have always worked out and recently started seeing a trainer who has very quickly increased my fitness to a whole new level.  I see him twice a week for strength and agility training and running.  On other days I usually run about 5 miles with 2 rest days during the week.  My running has improved out of sight however I have noticed that recently I have been experiencing some very mild head pressure on the top of my head.  There is no pain or discomfort but it is noticeable and feels a bit strange.  It comes in waves for about 1 -2 seconds and sometimes happens a few times in a row and other days not at all.  I am completely healthy and have always had normal blood pressure, although I did have a slightly lower reading at my last physical. I try to drink a lot of water, especially after running but given the warmer weather in Southern California right now, I am wondering whether this might be a symptom of dehydration.  I have read other answers to similar questions about head pressure after running and the suggestion is headache or migraine.  I know for a fact that it is neither of these as I have suffered many headaches and migraines during my life and the pain is unbearable compared to this mild "pressing" feeling I am experiencing.  I don't know if this is running related at all but it seems to have started since I have been running more frequently over longer distances.  Any idea what this might be?

I'm quite sure you are having some effort headaches which can be more pronounced in hot weather.You can trace all injuries and symptoms such as yours with 98% accuracy by tracking back in your training program when certain mid symptoms started showing up as you add new programs such as running to your workouts.I remember years back when i started up with some same symptoms.If you would like to call me here in Albuquerque NM any time to go over this and get more clarity and also so i can help you dig down further your more than welcome.Just go to my web site for contact info.If they started when you started up with the running i think that is the culprit,but will dissipate in time.
