I hope I'm finding you in the best of health.

I started jogging(17 years old,not so active in past) every other day for 7 minutes.

1. Is it normal for my shins to be sore(feel it when i stretch it)?

2. Is this the same type of soreness as muscle building?

3. WIll I gain muscle in my shins from jogging?

4. If i my legs feel tired and I feel I can't do any more after going up and down 4 flights of stairs twice, should I keep this up hoping that my body will adapt?

5. will my body adapt to the jogging?

6. Should I only do jogging every other day or is it better to do it every day?Do you need a recovery day like by real exercise?

1. Shins can be sore due to the stress of running, because of the great forces that are being absorbed.
2. It is not the same type of soreness as muscle building.  If that was the case, marathon runners who run for miles upon miles, wouldn't get skinnier.
3. No, like I previously stated above.
4. You can take short rest breaks, or longer as needed, to help build up your endurance. The body will adapt.  When 4 flights feels easier, start adding just one more.  Its pretty simple after that, just watch your total time & make the efforts worth it.
5. Yes, if you do it consistently enough.  3-4 times a week is a good basis for adaptations.
6. Running is REAL exercise, the purest form of it to some points.  It needs recovery, too, especially as you adapt to all the major stress it causes on the body.  The body gets stronger from the resting you get from the recovery, not just while you are running.
