sore calfs and numbness while running

Question
I have a issue when I run my calf hurt and at a certain point my feet fall asleep and get all numb. I just bought new running shoes. I just started back running last week on tues. I run for about an 1 hour, stop and run. I run on dirt. What can this be. Its really uncomforable and takes away my willingness to run more.

Answer
Hi Victoria
One thing which is common is shoes are to tight and leave no room for the foot to spread on implant, there for pinching nerves which can cause your situation. As Far as your calf's,just stop 5 minutes into run and stretch them out and also when your finished.I would also get into a light stretching program to try to correct any tightness and alignment and tracking which could be related to some of the numbness your having. If you have other questions Victoria just get in touch.

All the best
