Question
Hi, I'm 16, 5'5" and 131ish pounds. I need to lose about a pound in a week and then keep the weight off for the rest of the weight off for the rest of the season to be on the lightweight boat this year. Any advice?

Answer
Hi Kate: I generally don't like to answer questions on weight control as I am not a doctor.  That said, the ways to lose weight are: 1) burn more calories; 2) eat less.

What's worked for me of late is that I am skipping breakfast and only eating 2 meals a day.  Just eat a bowl of cereal or something for breakfast.

Regards/AP
