Question
First off i would like to think you for taking the time to answer my question and a very odd question it is

I am a adventuress person and often get into different extreme sports i have recently started NOODLING (for a better explanation on this than words can give go to UTUBE and view a few videos) along with the obvious hazards of drowning and snakes there is a chance of finding a rather large snapping turtle i.e. upwards of 50 lbs in these holes

my question is this will the Neptune style gloves protect my hands from said turtles or should i just accept this hazards as part of the sport.
I do not plan on quiting but i am kinda partial to my fingers any info would be very helpful

again thank you for your time and i look foreword to getting a response back

Answer
Hello, Thanks for the question. Neptune gloves will usually give you a pretty good level of protection, but it depends on the exact model you have..(ei:how thick are they etc.) which i don't know. Snapping turtles have been known to bite thru a lot of tough prey, because of their Jaw pressure,so your gloves may not hold up in that respect. Having said that, for the best protection, i would suggest buying a pair of Akona All-Armor Tex Kevlar Quantum Dive gloves...with a thickness of 3.5mm or 5mm. At least you would have a "fighting" chance,if you are going to be handling a snapping turtle...but you still have to use a lot of caution when around this specie. These gloves are warm...and fairly flexible, and have a large thick wrist band.I very much like the ones i have. Give them a try...and i hope this answers you question

            Cheers,Gary
