looking for info on a 22 long rifle that may be charter arms

Question
QUESTION: have come across a .22 long rifle that has the following markings:
toward the end of the barrel on the side is stamped C.A.I. ST ALB V1
then underneath that is M1969 22 CAL ROMANIA.
on top of the barrel before the first site is UMC2 1974 V-4993.
V-4993 is also stamped on the side of the barrel.
the bolt has V-6634 stamped on it.
there are other markings around the site although i cannot make them out clearly.
they look like a 'v' or part of a 'v' but also looks similar to the greater/less than symbol. i assume these would be used for setting the sites. i know this is a rough description but if you can tell me any info on this gun i would appreciate it.

ANSWER: Hello Sonya Dworaczyk.
First, your rifle is not a Charter Arms. The C.A.I. stands for Century Arms International, an import-export company, located in St. Albany, Vermont, USA. It is a Romanian Military Training Rifle Model M1969 manufactured in 1974. The differences in serial numbers (V4993 and V6634) is because the bolt is not original to the rifle. This does is not unusual in military import firearms, since they were mass produced and all parts of that model are interchangeable. They were not made for great accuracy, but they are good plinkers. A value in todays market is around $100.
I hope this helps answer your question, and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage

QUESTION: hello again! can you tell me where i can find a magazine for this gun. when we got it, the magazine was gone. i appreciate your help with my first question and any help you can give me on this one.

Answer
Hello, again, Sonya Dworaczyk.
I found these parts warehouses that say they have them in stock. They are apexgunparts.com; gunpartscorp.com and there are some listed on ebay under M1969 magazine. The first two are a little cheaper than the ones on ebay. Hope this helps.
Out of curiosity, I checked out the M1969 on u-tube. I think I will find one for myself. Charles Gage
