Luko .44/.410

2016/7/22 9:05:39

Question
I have purchased a Luko .44/.410 caliber pistol. It says ".44 cal. Ball" on the gun. The gun came with .410 and .44 MAGNUM shells. If this gun were made for .44 magnum shells would it not have said .44 magnum on the side? Thanks, Darrell

Answer
Darrell,

This particular gun is a little bit of an anomaly.  The .44 caliber Ball designation is perfectly legit since it was for using 'ball' or full metal jacket ammo.  It can also shoot the .410 shot shells as well.

If it were me, I'd get a gunsmith to check it out before I fired off the .44 magnums.  You want to make sure that the gun is fully operational and able to withstand the pressures generated by the .44 mag cartridge.

Best of luck to you...

Regards,

Doug
