smith and wesson

Question
i have a smith and wesson model a in 243 win i would like to know what type action they call it a 96 or 98 or what thanks

Answer
Hello Bob Weller. There is nothing I have found to say 96 or 98. This would say that the S&W was built on one of these actions. Since it is not, a mauser style action simply means it is somewhat patterned after one of the most sought after actions for sporting rifles ever. A comment like this would establish a gun manufacture as a quality minded company. I hope this answers your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
