Trainer Rifle

2016/7/22 9:06:38

Question
I just bought a trainer rifle a few days ago, and I wanted some information on it. Made by Parris MFG. Co. Savannah, Tennessee. This dummy gun seems to be a mid thirties bolt action rifle with flip up sights used for training? The pat. no. is 2,649,849. A answer would be helpful.
Thanks, Kelii

Answer
Hello Kelii,

There were over 2 million training rifles made by Parris Mfg. Co. during WWII, the company then switched over to producing toy guns.

According to research the Navy and Army paid $4.75 per rifle, I have no idea what the value of these guns are, you can buy a parade training rifle from Parris Mfg. Co brand new for around $50 bucks now.

There are lots of good websites about the Parris Mfg. Co. if you care to google them, to many to list or sort through.

Best of luck!
