Smith and Wesson Sigma

2016/7/22 9:06:57

Question
Hi,  I was considering buying a Smith and Wesson Sigma 9mm or 40 mm handgun.  It is on sale for $299 with a $50 rebate. They would be used for personal protection only.  What is your opinion of these pistols?  I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Answer
Hello Jeff,

The S&W Sigma is a perfectly fine gun. The sigma was made by S&W to directly compete with Glock as you can probably tell by the Polymer frame, style, etc. Although S&W will probably not admit it it is in essence a copy of a Glock. The design of these guns are well thought out and made, you will have no issues with it under most circumstances. The bad guy breaking into your house won't know the difference anyway as the bullets coming out the barrel are the same!
