Browning 20 gauge

2016/7/22 9:07:27

Question
I have a Browning 20 gauge bought new in '72.  I believe it was the last year they were built in Belgium.  The only identifying number I can find is:
72X
46468
Is this the serial number? Would you have any idea what this gun is worth?  It is in good shape, there are no gouges or nicks in the wood, just a few scuffs.

Thanks for your time,
Kris.

Answer
Hello Kris. Yes, it is the serial number; the 72 being the year and also the year you purchased it. As far as evaluating firearms, I no longer do it. But I will suggest a few gun sales web sites. www.gunsinternatial.com; www.gunsamerica.com; www.gunbroker.com and www.auctionarms.com.
It is very easy to find information on these sites. I hope this has answered your questions and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
