new to handguns

Question
I am looking to purchase a hand gun for home protection, to take bow hunting, and rifle hunting. I would like to have a revolver style medium frame. I would like to have a 357 or 38spl. I am relatively new to handguns so what should i purchase to start with?

Answer
If you can afford it, Smith and Wesson makes nice small frame .357 revolved (5 shot) titanium, it is very light, has an enclosed hammer, which prevent snagging and allows you to shoot from inside your pocket with jamming or problems.

Very light weight, so has a kick, but small enough to slide in your jeans pocket.  If you want a larger and heavier one there are lots.  Personal choice and too many to discuss.
