Question
I have a Colt M1991A1 Commander Model cliber .45,  I wouldlike to get a close ballpark price for this weapon.  It has been used but not abused, there is some wearing of the blueing but no scarring or pitting.

Answer
Hello Jim. Your Colt M1991A1 Commander.45ACP has not been in service for very many years (1993-2007+), thus the shear number manufactured has put a minimal resale price on it.The last MSRP was $786.00. You describe a used (but not abused) pistol in approximately 95% NRA grading. This would net $475.00 according to the Twenty-Eighth Edition Blue Book of Gun Values by S.P. Fjestad. There is a newer version on the market now. However, I feel your pistol would not be much,if any, higher priced. I do not like using only one publication to evaluate firearms, so I often turn to what people are paying for them. On the GunsAmerica web site I did find one priced at $779.00. This pistol, however, was NIB(new in box). With the renewed interest in simi-auto handguns, I would price it in the 'ball park' around $525.00. I hope this helped answer your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
