Comparison of 2nd & 3rd edition Glock 23

2016/7/22 9:13:11

Question
I am considering purchase of a NIB 2nd generation model 23 that can be purchased from its original owner for less than a NIB 3rd generation model 23 from a FFL dealer.  What are the pros and cons of each model and is getting the 3rd edition worth the extra investment?

Answer
Hey John, not sure of all the differences between 2nd and 3rd, but the major one is the rails that hold a light or laser under the barrel.  Glocks are great guns, eat all ammo, simple design and damn near unbreakable.  It depends on what you use and want the gun for as for what options you deem better.  Glock has not changed the internals so the functioning of either gun should be the same.  With all the after market items available, I would think you could fix either one up the way you wanted, again depending on what you want, what you are willing to spend and your personal choices.  Not sure what price difference you are looking at, but again, is it worth it to you for what you get?

hope this helps,

Rick
