Belgium Browning 30.06

2016/7/22 9:17:08

Question
I own a Browning 30.06 that's been passed down to me from grandfather. It's in excellent condition. It has 2L 12057 stamped into the barrel. Would you know how old, what grade and model, and the approximate value of this rifle might be? Made in Belgium is also stamped into it.

Answer
Scott,

Your rifle was made in 1962 and it is the Safari Grade as evident by the L in the serial number. Value all depends on condition and originality. Typically a New In the Box (NIB) rifle will run $1400-$1600 to the right person. Value goes down from there depending on condition. Hope this helps.
