Western Field 20 gauge single action bolt

2016/7/22 9:18:18

Question
I have a Western Field 20 gauge single action bolt shotgun bought from Montgomery Wards. It's a model M160 Full Choke. I recently noticed that the bolt is cracked. Can you tell me where it would be easiest to get parts from

Answer
Hi Bill,

Your Western Field 20 gauge is actually a Mossberg 385K.  Most of the store brands were actually manufactured for chain stores by other companies.

I have attached a link to a parts schematic so that you can look for the actual part that you need to replace.  The bolt assembly has a number of components, so you need to see exactly which one you need.

One you determine that, I would check with websites like:
http://www.e-gunparts.com

You might have some success there.

I also found a listing for a bolt for your model shotgun at this location:

http://www.havlinsales.com/bolt.htm

Scroll down a bit and look for Mossberg model 385K.  The complete bolt is $75, but I couldn't tell if they still had them in stock.

Here is the link to the schematic:

Hope this helps you out...
