Question
HI,I just obtained a J.Stevens arms company Rifle.Chicopee Falls Mass.USA,It is a Little Scout .22 long rifle ,Pat.July 2-07 , 14 1/2  -I'm guessing thats inches. Its small .Wooden stock single shot.It also has "SVG" in a circle marking .I would be greatfull for any information you can give me about this rifle. Thanks Rob.

Answer
Robert,

The rifle in question is a J. Stevens Arms model No. 14 which is also known as the "Little Scout". It is a utility take-down rifle that is blued with a one piece bored stock.(If it has a two piece stock it would be a No. 14 1/2 and was made between 1911 and 1941) The main feature of this rifle is the rolling-block type action. The rifle was manufactured between 1906 and 1910.

The gun if in "good" condition would have an approximate retail value of $200 to $250.

Thank you for the question Robert.
