Question
I have found, thanks to you, that my rifle has a new style firing pin.  It does however, lock up so that I cannot eject the live cartridge and yet will not fire.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Bruce,

Actually there are several items that could be causing the problem/s. The 100 had more than its share of "issues". I could list them all and you could try figuring out which (if any) of them apply to your rifle but it could also be none of them.

I would suggest that you locate a qualified gunsmith in your area to give the rifle a complete inspection and provide you with a diagnosis as to the problem and wether or not it can be repaired. Some parts are hard to locate and need to be made.

The model 100 did have a history of breakage of the operating slide bars which will cause the action to lock up. I cannot however tell you for certain if this is the cause of your problem without inspecting the gun.

Good luck and thanks for the question.
