Question
I RECENTLY INHERITED A 60TH ANNIVERSARY, MARYLAND STATE POLICE ISSUE BERETTA [SERIAL#0004].  STILL IN BLUE BOX AND WITH WALNUT DISPLAY CASE.  WHAT'S THE APPROXIMATE VALUE AND MUCH THANX!

Answer
Pete,

I'm guessing the pistol is a Model 92FS, as that was the more common Beretta issued to police officers. Stock, that gun retails for about $600, but being a special edition in a display case, yours is worth much more. How much, exactly, I'm unsure. A Beretta collector may offer you considerably more than a gun dealer would - the value of anything is dependent in large part upon how much someone is willing ot pay for it.

I wish I could be more helpful, but collector/display guns aren't a real strong suit of mine. You may consider checking a library or book shop for books on collector guns specifically and/or Beretta firearms.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful,

Kyle
