Springfield Armory 944 Troubleshooting: Light Primer Hits & Reliability
Question
Rick;
Sorry about the last question. the e-mail never picked up the model number. the 44 that was there was sent as Springfield 944 single shot 36in. 12ga. full choke. I get light hits on the primers and the gun only shoots 30% of the time. can I replace the firing pin and is there parts and a manual available, even a schematic that shows how to get the pin out to replace it.

This site looks like it may be able to help, I have never worked on one but it may not be the firing pin, a bent, worn or broken firing pen spring will also cause light hits, a dirty gun can also cause it. I would check spring and pin and that should fix it.
