ID Marks on Norma Mag .308

Question

ID Marks Hi, I am trying to ID the manufacturer of a Norma Mag .308 that has come into the family. There are a few marks on the gun but no manufacturer listed. The unique marks are as follows:
Star
X
Lion on Hind Legs
underline
P.V
vert line with two squares one around the other making it appear as a pole on a base.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Melissa. I have not been able to identify your rifle by the makers marks, but the pic looks like a 98 Mauser action receiver. The 03-A3 Springfield rifle was also a common rifle rechambered to .308 Norma Mag., but these makers marks are not U.S. I am sorry I could not answer your question. Maybe another time.
