Longines 7.65mm Automatic Pistol: Identification & History
Question
I have a Longines automatic pistol and can't find any information on it. It's a 7.65,serial #88208 made in Spain. Any info would be helpful even if it's just a web site i can check out. Thanks Dave
Answer
You won't find much info on these guns out there. From research they were made by Cooperative Oberal of Edibar, Spain and this company basically did not survive the Spanish Civil War where the new dictator only allowed 4 gun companies to resume making guns. (those that likely paid him off). You will probably not find much info out there either way, the guns are not expensive and the amount of history is fairly limited. Best of luck!
