Question
I am searching for information on the year of manucture and where as I have not been able to find one set up like this on the net. Manufacture ser # B35548 is on the left side of the breach area just forward of the trigger guard blow trade marks forward leaf between three small screws, two aft an a single one forward.
Any help would be useful.

Answer
Bob,

I believe you have an "American Browning" made by Remington between 1940 and 1946 during WWII. Due to the Germans invading Belgium, Browning was forced to have Remington produce the "American Browning" Auto 5. Hope this helps.  Sorry I am late on e-mailing. I just returned home from vacation.

Jim
