I want to purchase the 44/410 (the judge) and I would like to know the prefered barrel size (3 or 6 in) for all around use. I intend to use it for home and personal defence as well as a snake gun. I would appreciate it if you can make a recomendation.

I don't really have much to say about this gun one way or the other. The benefit of the longer barrel would be that it would dampen recoil some. Benefit of the shorter barrel is that it could not be so easily taken away from you in a self-defense situation.

It's not the gun I would choose for home or self defense, so I don't have an opinion or preference either way.
