FIE MIAMI, FLA. MODEL E22 CAL. 22 L.R. SERIAL # AB05450.  CAN YOU TELL ME THE MAKER? (ANYTHING?)  THANKS SO MUCH,  SARAH J. KEY

Answer
Sarah,

Back when Czechoslovakia was a soviet block country, a firearms co. going by CZ made a very desirable pistol, but it could not be imported into the free world, and those that made their way here were very expensive.

Tanfaglio of Italy copied the pistol almost exactly, and it was very popular.  Today, of course, CZs are available, so the Tanfaglio line is not so desirable (they're still good guns).

The originals Tanfaglios were 9mm.  They expanded the product line.

The manufacturer is Tanfaglio of Italy.
