i was watching my friend skateboarding, and i thought it looked like fun, something to do when i dont have ice hockey. i know alot about tricks and stuff, but i never really tried it. what kinds of decks, trucks, bearings, and wheels are good, and do you know any sites where i can get them for cheap?

First off unless im being a moron and reading your name wrong your a girl right? If so, thats awesome there aren't too many girl skateboarders out there and more power to ya.
Now since your just starting out go out to a skateshop not kmart and get the cheapest setup you can you dont need anything fancy when you start out because you cant utilize the stuff anyways. I started out on a used board with cracked trucks, no nose,and no bearings pretty much.
