Marker M27v... Brakes

2016/7/15 11:36:57

Question
I was trying to remount a Marker M27v binding...I had to take the brake off to get to the 2 screws on the rear binding.  The brake uses a torsion type spring that is impossible to replace once you take the pin out.  Any suggestion on how to replace this brake?  I've done many bindings..have a marker jig.  Wasn't going to do these because of the age...but was bored.  Sorry I started these.

Answer
Hey P,

Not quite sure why you had to remove the brake. Usually all that is needed to access the screws is to move the heel piece back. As to replacing the brake, with bindings of that age you will probably just have to find some aftermarket brakes. Just put 'ski brakes' into any search engine and you will find a variety of shops that sell them.

Hope this helps.
Keep on skiing,
