Stretching a plastic boot skate

Question
Good afternoon Pat,

I happen to own a RB Solo Tribe (V.2) Size 8.0 US and since I ordered them from abroad (I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina), I wasn't able to try on a boot before my purchase.

As I got them here I realized they're a bit small for my taste. And I was looking for a way to stretch them enough for my feet to enjoy them.

And according to my calculations, I will need to stretch them one whole centimeter. Is that possible?

I thought of heating up the oven, placing the skates for a while and use a shoe stretcher.

Please help, thanks
Mat韆s

Answer
Hi Matias
I'm afraid your best option is to return the skates for a larger size.  If you try to heat them there is a very great risk that you will only distort the boot, then you wouldn't be able to wear it at all.   That type of boot does not stretch and is not meant to be stretched.

I would return them.  You will have to pay for shipping but in the long run, you'll be much happier with another skate that fits you correctly.

Good Luck
Pat
