foot support

Question
I just got new k2 rollerblades and when I tried them out the right foot (the side with the break) made my foot lean out more than the left. After a while it began to hurt pretty badly. My left foot fit just fine, but it seems like I dont have as much support on the right side. Is there any technical reason for this? Thanks

Answer
Hi Mike,
I wish I had so me great words of wisdom for you but there's only 2 things that could cause your problem.

1)  The boot could be defective.....return them for another pair if
   you still can.

2)  Your right ankle isn't as strong as your left ankle.

I'd suggest you return them to the store you bought them from.  Trade them for the exact same skate and see if it's any better.  If the same thing happens perhaps you need a skate that's designed a little differently and gives you the support you need.

When you return them you may want to try the new skates on first to see if they do the same thing.  If a couple pair are there try them all on.  That's the only way you'll know if it's the skate or your ankle.  Even try a completely different brand on, just to compare yours with.

If you find your ankle turns out in all the different blades you may need to wear extra support inside your skate to support your ankle.

Don't settle for a skate that's uncomfortable.  Find the one that's perfect for you.

Good Luck, I'm sure it will all work out for you.
