Shin Pain when rollerblading

Question
Hey there.  I have been playing roller hockey (inline hockey) for quite a few years now, but stopped for 2 years. I started playing again this year, but struggle with terrible shin pain, to such an extend that i cant feel my feet.  This of course doesnt allow me to play alot of the time, as i am in pain for most of the game.   I would like to know if anyone can tell me what causes it.  I tthnik it might because my blades me be bit narrow for my feet - but i have been wearing it for quite a few years now.  i have quite broad feet and use CCM blades at the moment.  Does anyone have suggestions as to what it can be and what i can do to make it better?  asi really love the game.. but dont love being in pain while doing it..

Answer
Mari,
I'll do the best I can with this question, but I really cannot be certain what is causing this problem.
You say that your blades are a bit narrow for your feet. I would, of course, recommend getting blades that fit you better. Solomon,  for one, does make a wider boot, however, I don't see that this would affect your shins. You may also try a softer wheel that would be more forgiving. If you use a hard wheel on a hard outdoor surface, it can definitely affect your shins.
I hope you find an answer to your pain - I don't have a magic bullet - but I do feel a 78A durometer wheel may help to ease the shin pain.
