Old Windsufer brand universal

Question
I have an old Windsufer brand board that has a slot to connect the mast with a shoe universal. I do not have the universal, but the board is in excellent and I would love to use it. Any suggestions on how I can connect it to the mast? Or do you think I can find the original shoe?

Not sure what you are meaning by a shoe but I think I understand what you are looking for. If the slot you are referring to looks like this;

Then what you need should be this;

If this doesn't look like what you need, see if you can get a picture of the mast track on your board and I should be able to figure out what you need from that.
