Question
Hi I guess this board is maybe 20 years old and the piece I am missing is the mast step - any idea where I can get one?

Thanks

Answer
Hey Bill,

If your board has a standard type mast track, you can get a replacement mast base here;

www.chinooksailing.com

If your mast base is board specific, like two holes in the board, the finding a replacement will be extremely difficult and the only suggestion I can offer for that would be ebay or craigslist.

If your board has an adjustable mast track, there may be a threaded hole that would accept a standard mast base that you can find at Chinook. If it is a specific type base to fit an adjustable track, then you might be able to convert the track. If it is slotted like a newer standard type track, then you can remove the track, remove the moving parts, and install an oversized slider nut that can be purchased at Chinook in board building parts. This would make your adjustable track into a fixed position base that can be moved for conditions.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
