Waterproof plug

Question
Hi windlover, sorry have another question, just finished putting the straps on and im pretty happy with them, but in the manual that came with the board, it talks about a waterproof plug that goes in on top of where you screw in the fin. It doesnt seem to have come with the board. Whats it for? Everything is water-proof and rust-proof right? Do you know if it important?
Thanks

Answer
Hey Aaron,

The fin screw should have a rubber washer that goes between the metal washer and the board itself. This should seal the area where the screw goes through the board. The waterproof plug should just plug the space above the screw head and keep it from rusting. The screw should be stainless steel but they can and will eventually rust. You may be able to get a new plug through Bic at  www.bicsportswindsurf.com.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
