Question
I have recently moved and found out I have to walk appx. 1 1/2 miles each way to catch the transit. I want to give myself time to reach my destination on time. How long does it take to walk 1 1/2 miles if you're a slower walker (steady but not rushing). Thanks.

Answer
It can be difficult to estimate how fast people walk, but here goes. Slow walking tends to be 20-25 minutes per mile. So you could allocate 38 minutes the first time. By timing yourself the first time, you will know better what to expect in the future.
