Answer
Hello Sun

Good for you. Exercise, of which will give you good health, is what you need to keep your body physically fit for the demands that will be made upon you to raise a baby.

You really do not need to do any incline. That just puts too much stress on your ankles. You will find that if you do 5-15 minutes of the treadmill when you wake up, and again 5-15 minutes before you go to bed, much more suitable for your body. Do every day.

Also do some daily stretching. Standing in your kitchen, at your counter top, hands on the counter top for balance. Squat down slowly, go up slowly. Do 10 times.

Step back a bit, hands on the edge of the counter top. Put one foot back, other knee bent a bit. Do counter top pushups, 10 times. While each push away from the counter, push toward the counter with your foot set back. FEEL the back of your calf muscles tighten up and stretch. Then reverse feet and do 10 more. Do AT LEAST once a day, more is better.

Your baby is a natural weightlifting exercise. To strengthen your lower back, hold the baby safely in both hands, bend over slowly, legs straight, lowering the baby down as far as you can go, and then raise the baby up slowly. Do 2-3 times, do every day. As the baby gets bigger, and heavier, this exercise will make your lower back stronger so you will not suffer from lower back pain from carrying a baby all day. Another exercise is to stand straight, feet apart a bit, bend your body to one side, raising the opposite arm up to where your hand presses your side. Do 10 times. Then do the opposite side. This makes the sides stretch.

Do this every day also.

All these exercises make you strong, flexible, burn calories, reduce stress.

If you need further exercise advice; and any advice on raising a child (mine is now 15), write again.

Have a great day.
