old fanatic sailboard parts

Question
I was given an old (don't know the year) fanatic sailboard, and it is missing a piece.  I have the board, mast, boom, sail, but it appears to be missing parts that allow the attachment of the mast to the board (mast base extension and U-joint?)  Do you know where I may be able to get such parts?  I realize that this may be difficult, especially since I don't know the year that it was made.

I would like to have this board get some use, even if it's not by me.  So, I have considered trying to find someone who is into taking old equipment, making it usable and selling it.  If you're aware of anyone, it would be appreciated if you could forward my email address.

Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hey Beth,

If your board has a standard mast track (a long slot), then you can get a new base here;
www.chinooksailing.com. If it is really old and has just a couple of holes, then finding a matching base is next to impossible.

As for selling your old gear, it is not worth much and buyers are usually found on ebay or craigslist. Another option is to donate it to a kids camp or similar and get a small tax write off.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
