Size of Gas Cap

2016/7/15 18:29:41

Question
We have a 1991 Proline, walk around cuddy, 23+ft.  Our gas is being stolen so we need to buy a locking gas cap but I don't know what size I should buy.  I do not have the owners manual and have been unable to locate this information anywhere online.  Can you help?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Mary...Thank you for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question. Did you check the area for the cap? People who steal fuel usually have no need for the filler cap.

Quite frankly, I have no idea what size your fuel tank cap might be, but, perhaps a local Proline dealer can assist you. Have you considered going online to the manufacturer? Unless the filler nozzle has been covered, there may be contaminents in the fuel tank which might adversely affect the operation of the engine, so make sure the tank is drained and flushed before heading out on a voyage.
