Fuel mixture

2016/7/15 18:31:04

Question
I bought a 1990 Yamaha 500cc wave runner. The person I bought it off of said the mix for fuel was a 50/1 mix. I am pretty good with engines and that seems to much oil for this type of motor. Is that the correct fuel/oil mix? If not what is? Thanks John

Answer
Hi John

Thank you for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question.

I've never owned a jet ski, so I really don't know the owner's manual suggests is the proper mixture. I'd consult a local dealer or go on-line to Yamaha to find the answer. I do know that my 1990 15hp o/b mtr. has a 100/1 mixture.
