Question
wanted to check fuel sending unit but dont know where it is located. i have a 1997 chaparral 1830ss.

Answer
Hi Steve...Thanks for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question. By the way, I'm neither an electrician nor a marine mechanic.

Have you consulted a Chaparrel dealer? Did you go online to Chaparrel's website and make an email inquiry about the location of their sending unit? Usually, the device is attached to the fuel tank and is activated when the ignition is on, then you can see the reading on the dash guage.
