hello sir, why it is important to make a racehorse swim? what are the benefits of swimming a racehorses?

HI --- WE ALWAYS SWIM A SORE GOING HORSE AND ALSO PONY THEM TO KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF THEIR LEGS ETC. REMEMBER SWIMMING ALONE IS NOT GOOD FOR THE HORSE. IT HAS TO BE A COMBINATION OF BOTH TYPES OF TRAINING TO GET THE HORSE TO THE RACES. SWIMMING WILL BUILD UP THEIR WIND . THANKS ED HESS
