horse suffering from fever

2016/7/15 11:21:10

Question
hello sir, how can i confirm that my horse is suffering from fever without using a thermometer?

Answer
HI --- IF THEY HAVE A TEMP,  THEY DO NOT EAT AND THEY ARE VERY SLUGGISH ACTING.  YOU CAN ALSO LOOK AT THEIR EYES. THEY WILL NOT HAVE THAT BRIGHT ALERT LOOK TO THEM. THEY WILL ALSO BE VERY WARM ALL OVER THEIR BODY..  BUT A VET CHECK WOULD BE ADVISED IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE A TEMP OR NOT.  THANKS ED HESS
