sheepskin cheekpiece usage

Question
sheepskin cheekpiece
sheepskin cheekpiece
hello sir, when can i use sheepskin cheek piece on racehorses?

Answer
Some trainers may just use these as decoration or protection from bridle rubbing, but they also can double as sort of a blinker. If a horse pays too much attention on what is going on behind him, then this may be an option opposed to a french cup type blinker. On the flip side, you may want the horse to see what is coming up behind him so he may be encourages to drive forward harder and you would not want to use the sheepskin cheek piece.
