night and current odds

hello. may i know what are NIGHT ODDS and CURRENT ODDS in thoroughbred horse racing?

Hi, Rohit! I believe that when you are asking about "night odds" that you are referring to the term "overnight odds" which are an quick overview or loose outline of the horses odds for the next days races...but these are not done as well as the morning line odds which will appear in the program and racing form the next day (on race day).

"Current odds", are the odds at the track for a particular race that is going to be run in a number of minutes. For example, here in the United States are post times are around 25 minutes between each race. So, the current odds will be listed from that starting point up till the race closes with the final odds.
Now, before post time and even a slight moment after post time (last tote flash) the odds for any race can and do usually change before the end/ final odds.
