Question
QUESTION: hello sir, do racehorses need swimming daily?? how many times a day do i need to make my horses swim?? if only one, is it in the morning after the workout or in the evenings??

ANSWER: hi -- i would swim a horse about 3-4 times a week and then alternate with reg gallops in between. you have to gallop also, just not swim the horse. i always use to swim a sore going horse. swimming a horse too many days in a row may cause the horse to become weak.  thanks E HESS

QUESTION: sir, what do you mean by reg gallops

Answer
hi  regular galloping is when you gallop the horse on a scheduled training plan. i would swim one day and gallop the other. if you just swim all the time and then run the horse, the horse will act like it is exhausted. you need to alternate the swimming and galloping  in order to get the horse fit. thanks ED HESS
