gag snaffles uses

hello sir, may i know the uses and advantages of gag snaffles
over loose ring ordinary snaffle bits. actually, may i know
its uses in polo

hi --the gag bit is used for a rough horse in order to control them while working them. i always try to use the minamum bit on a horse and then if he needs a stronger bit ,i will change to one of that type. we use gag bits and draw reins on a horse that has a tendency to run off a lot. thanks ED HESS
