Question
Explanation of Trainer L.V.R. Deshmukh regarding the improved performance of his charge JAY JAY (SK. SHAROOKH) the winner of this race that normally the gelding races well up with the field but could not do so in his previous engagement due to a younger and superior bunch of horses as compared to a weaker set of horses today and as the race was restricted to 4 years old & over and distance being 1600 metres he made the running due to the slow pace which he relishes and had gone onto win, noted. Sir I didn抰 understand the underlined statement.can you pleas explain me

Answer
HI --SEEMS TO ME THAT THE TRAINER PUT THE HORSE IN THE RIGHT RACE AND THAT IS WHY HE WON. HE WAS IN AGAINST HORSES THAT HE COULD BEAT. SLOWER PACE, AGE DIFFERENCE ETC.  TOO MANY TRAINERS RUN THEIR HORSES OVER THEIR HEADS FOR WHAT EVER REASON AND THAT MAKES THE HORSES HAVE POOR FORM. YOU HAVE TO PLACE YOUR HORSE IN THE PROPER RACES TO WIN RACES , EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO RUN IN THE CHEAPER RACES.  CHEAP HORSES WIN MANY RACES. THANKS ED HESS
