Question
hello again ed..

some more advice please..

I am 3 weeks away from running my horse... what advice would you give for
the few days before the race, ie light work and days off..

Answer
hi  it depends on your horse. if they love to gallop and work then a work out 48 hrs out is a good idea. if they are a a hard to train horse and don't like to train hard , then just a few days off would help them.  a fillies is a hard one to determine . i had a fillies that loved to train , so i worked her the day before and she would love it. i had a horse that ran 1 1/4 mile race and he would walk some times most of the month and then run a race and win with no problem. a happy horse will run  good for you  hope this helps you. GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU WIN !!!! V   thanks ED HESS
