I want to know more about my horse

Question
I just got an OTTB this past Sunday from a girl how works with the trainers at Canterbury Park in MN.  She said he slab fractured his left knee in a race in July.  His name is Bizcochito.  He was born in 2003 and his sire is Dayjur.  I was wondering if you could tell me what a dosage profile, dosage index, and a center of distribution is?  His numbers for them are:
Dosage Profile:6 4 8 0 0
Dosage Index: 3.50
Center of Distribution: 0.89
Thank you
Jill

Answer
Jill,
Dosage is a system developed by Dr. Steve Romans for estimating the distance and speed capabilities of a Thoroghbred based on his realation to certain key sires, called "chefs". It can be a little difficult to understand, and is too complicated to explain here.  For an in-depth explanation of Dosage, visit www.chef-de-race.com, and that should tell you everything that you need to know.
