Question
What does dosage mean in horse racing

Answer
Terry,

Dosage is a system developed by Dr. Steve Roman for determining a horse's ability to race successfully at a particular distance.  This is done by assigning a point value to a number of selected sires,(chefs de race) and then determining which of these sires have the most influence in a particular pedigree.
For an in depth explanation of dosage, go to www.chef-de-race.com, which is Dr. Roman's own website, and has a huge amount of information about the dosage system.
